Ruana Sudestada by Hoppe inside The Sewing Box 13
ABOUT THE RUANA
The ruana is a rectangular or square garment made of wool yarn. It does not have sleeves and it has a slit that divides the front in two panels. It is the traditional garment of northern Argentina, and it is widely used in arid areas such as the Quebrada and Puna.
This ruana is worked in one piece, without seams. We will start knitting from left to right, creating a repetitive pattern. At the end, we will complete it with a simple ruffle to add a romantic vibe to it.
